Q: How would you characterize your style of photography?
A: Labels are thrown around so loosely these days: photojournalist, lifestyle photographer, etc. In a nutshell I want to capture you as you naturally are. I want the picture to be an expression of your personality. I want it to capture the expression or feeling of the moment. I try to be as unobtrusive as possible at events to be able to do this. I say to my clients “Just be yourself” and everything will fall into place.
Q: Do you do posed shots?
A: Yes I do! I take time to do posed shots at any event and will tailor it the style of the client. However, I don’t want to do “posed” shots where you look unnatural or uncomfortable. Once again the shot should show off who you are and show you feeling comfortable and natural. I never want you to look stiff, bored, and uncomfortable. My ultimate goal is to make it easy, keep it fun, and allow the natural you to shine through.
Q: Do you have a studio for portrait sessions?
A: I do all portrait sessions at the location of your choice which allows me to capture you in more natural and candid way.
Q: Your wedding packages include engagement sessions are they necessary?
A: While my packages are designed to be flexible I HIGHLY encourage all my clients to do an engagement session. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better before your big day. You'll get to know me and my work style and also get an opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera. This will help you feel more relaxed and natural for posing on your big day which ultimately makes for better pictures. Also this is really a special time in your life so why not thoroughly document it. Plus it's fun!
Q: Do we own our images from our session?
A: You have full printing rights on all images from your session. This means you have unrestricted personal use of your photos, however, you are not able to use or sell photos for commercial use without my permission. I retain copyright over all images.
Q: How long does it take for my images to be ready after my session?
A: Photograph processing, creation of online galleries, and DVD/CD creation will take approximately 6-8 weeks for weddings and 2-3 weeks for portrait sessions.
Q: How many camera bodies do you have? How many lenses?
A : I shoot with two Nikon digital camera bodies and a full range of lens.
Q: Do you travel? What are your travel fees? (if applicable)
A: Yes. And I love to travel. Within the local area I charge a travel fee for events that are more than 40 miles beyond Glenside PA. For destination weddings (which I would totally love to do) we can discuss travel fees and packages.
Q: How many proofs should I expect to see from my wedding?
A: That is a hard question to answer, since every event is different. I shoot on average 100-200 shots an hour, however, I cull that number down to only give you the best shots and ones that tell the story of your day.
Q: What happens if you are sick and injured and cannot shoot our wedding/event?
A: It would have to be an EXTREME circumstance if I am unable to shoot your wedding/event. If it should arise I have back up photographers that have established businesses in the Philadelphia area that are able to step in and cover your event.
Q: Do you have insurance ?
A: I carry full insurance for my business and equipment.
Q: Will the assistants and other photographers you hire to help shoot my wedding be people you have worked with before?
A: Yes. The second shooters I contract out are people that work well with my style and are people who I fully trust in their ability.
Q: Do you provide the digital negatives in the package? If so, are they fully retouched?
A: Mostly all of my packages include the digital negatives with all pictures fully retouched.
Q: Are you willing to customize a package if none of yours fits our needs?
A: Yes. Just ask :)
Q:Do you provide only color or B& W as well?
A: OMG I love B&W and can’t imagine not having a shoot without them! In editing your pictures beyond basic edits for exposure, balance, etc, I decide what other fine edits suits the mood of the picture and best captures the moment. Sometimes that is color and sometimes that may be B&W.
Q: Do you include an album/prints or an album/print credit in your packages?
A: Yes, most of my wedding packages have an album and some have print credits.
Q: What other products can I get?
A: I offer albums, guest books, prints, brag books, and CD/DVD cases. If there is something else you have specifically in mind just ask me.
